A Farewell Does not mark the end of Relationship

“We All Have Time Machines, Some Take Us Back They Are Called “Memories” And Some Take Us Forward They Are Called “Dreams”,A Farewell Does not mark the end of Relationship”. Meeting and parting are parts of life, by taking these teary-eyed quotes in their mind, the little ones at Campion Primary & Secondary wing and the Primary and the Secondary staff and management of Campion School, Arera Colony Bhopal bid adieu to their beloved Most Senior Teacher, mentor and guide from Primary Section “Mrs. Philomina D’Cruz” and Bursar Fr. Sanjay Kujur S.J. with a heavy heart. It was a very sentimental day for the staff and students of our school as they bid farewell to their dear teacher and Bursar Fr. the official farewell was organised today to give them best wishes to both of them.

Recognizing her sterling contribution to Campion School from last 43 years (1974 to 2017), The students, teachers and management members gathered at the school’s “Loyola auditorium” to show appreciation and bid farewell to their beloved teacher Mrs. Philomina D’Cruz as well as Bursar Fr. Sanjay Kujur S.J.(4 yrs. As a Bursar in the school). The Programme started in the “Loyola Auditorium” with Prayer Song and Dance by the students of the Primary. After this “Lighting of the Lamp” done by the Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., Vice Principal Fr. Ajay Kumar Kerketta S.J., Superior Fr. Christdhari Kujur S.J., Fr. Sanjay Kujur S.J., Headmistress Sister PramilaA.C., Sr. Chitra, Sr. Kresentiya. The Farewell programme started with thanksgiving by presenting so many bouquet flowers to Mrs. D’cruz and Fr. Sanjay. The tiny tots of the school commenced and welcomed all the Fathers, Sisters and guests with a melodious Prayer Song, scintillating and beautiful Prayer Dance.

The children had organised a cultural programme depicting Mrs. D’cruz teachings and Bursar Fr. Sanjay Kujur S.J. management in the form of skit and dance. The staff members felt nostalgic by sharing memorable moments through a documentary film. Audience shall witness a rainbow of programmes organized to entertain them with the enthralling performances of the participants. Play, Skit, dances, song, and anchoring, these are the activities that sharpen the students in their God-Gifted talents. Primary & Secondary sections teachers sung a beautiful song especially for both of them.

On this occasion Principal Fr. Athnas Lakra S.J. said “Mrs. D’cruz was an able administrator and an inspiration for the students and teachers as well. The school observed various remarkable changes in the field of academics, discipline and co-curricular activities during her tenure. Father Principal Athnas Lakra S.K. thanked Mrs. Philomina and Fr. Sanjay for their dedicated, untiring and selfless service towards upgrading the institution- a much needed change.  The management and the school will be indebted to her for what she has been to the school through her service. The entire Campion Family extends their best wishes and God’s blessings for her new venture and mission”.

Mrs. Philomina and Fr. Sanjay said in their thanks giving speech that “You are all very special to me. Thanks for your support and to the persons who have in any way contributed to my enjoyable years as a Headmistress. Both of them thanked the students, staff members and retired teachers present, for their role in making her journey as a Headmistress a very enjoyable and memorable one. Especially for Students she said be a good person, study well and strive for greater achievement”.


In the End, On behalf of Campion School, management, staff and students Principal Fr. along with Vice Principal presented both of them a  “Memento” as a token of their love. Group photo with the teachers and the staff were also taken place. Several teary-eyed pupils also surrounded her to say their goodbyes and best wishes.
