with Great devotion, Full Zeal and Enthusiasm

 “The more completely we focus our attention on our Creator and Lord, the less chance there is of our being distracted by creatures.  This is the word of Saint. The Feast day of “Our Lady of Carmel” was celebrated with great devotion and fervour and in a very special and Spiritual Way by the School management, staff and students of the Primary and Secondary section in the “LOYOLA AUDITORIUM” of the Campion School, Arera Colony Bhopal. Special prayers will mark the celebrations of the feast of Mt. Carmel. The event was presided over by the Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., & the school Superior Fr. Christdhari Kujur S.J.  

Carmel feast is celebrated in honour of Mother of Carmel, The Patroness of Apostolic Carmelite Sisters. It was on the 16th of July the congregation of Apostolic Carmelite sisters were formed. So this day is celebrated as the school feast by The Campion family with great enthusiasm and pomp.

The day began with the Holy Mass for all The Christian children of the school followed by a programme. The programme commenced solemnly by grand welcoming the Fathers, Sisters and Brothers from their residence to the Loyola auditorium by the students. We then proceeded with the traditional lighting of the lamp and felicitation of Fathers, Sisters and brothers with bouquets of flowers and greeting cards. Thereafter, Lighting of the lamp done by Guests of honour Superior and Manager Fr. Christdhari kujur S.J., Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., Vice Principal Fr. Ajay Kumar Kerketta S.J., Headmistress Sister Pramila A.C., Bursar Fr. Ashok S.J., Fr. Kapil, Sr. Cresentia H.C., Sister Chitra A.C.

The Programme started by seeking almighty’s blessings through a prayer service, followed by the significance of the day. The programme included prayer service, a prayer dance and a skit showing the importance of the day. The junior section had the cultural programme presented by primary students. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings through a Prayer Dance. They highlighted the importance of Carmel Feast through a meaningful skit and dance. This was followed by a song honouring Mother Mary.

This lighting of the lamp signifies removal of darkness continuous upward movement of the flames denotes the path wisdom and divinity. After the Welcome Speech given by the students of Primary section. A Cultural Prayer service Dance and song based on World peace and God Grace is presented. A mesmerizing, rhythmic prayer dance evoked the blessings of the Almighty. After this the motivational & Spiritual skit “The life of the Carmel” along with real life drama were presented and done beautifully by the students along with the primary teachers. The life of Mt. Carmel was presented in the form of a captivating Dance Ballad. Merriment was added to the programme by a melodious wishing song and a foot-tapping, lively celebration dance. Apart from special prayers, lots of other colourful cultural programmes organized at Campion School to mark this day. Wishing Song sung by the teachers. This was followed by a Celebration dance and variety entertainment programme staged by the students of the schools.

 Fr. Principal in his message, told the students of the three virtues of how to respect relations and family. St Ignatius was a visionary who believed in moulding young people through education and also told the students that ‘We Are the World’ and each of us can make this world a better place”. Blessings given by Fr. Superior Christdhari Kujur S.J., This celebration and felicitation programme was prepared under the guidance of Headmistress Sr. Pramila A.C, and the teachers of primary section.

The celebration concluded on a happy note by wishing everyone a happy feast and by distributing sweets to the children. This was followed by a staff get-together to share the family spirit with prayer, games and dance. A delicious lunch cemented this bond and strengthened the Campion family spirit. Vote of Thanks was given by the Primary Student & Ceremony was conducted by the students of primary section. The Feast Day of “Our Lady of Carmel” was concluded with the School anthem. The Feast was held with lots of Respect and Spirituality.
