Campion School, Arera Colony Secondary Section begins commences its new Academic Session 2018-19 on 2 April 2018. After enjoying small summer vacations, all the students are back to school again! Excitement and enthusiasm seems to be high among the students. They were all seen eager to meet their friends after a short halt. "Loyola Auditorium” of the school campus will bloom once again to receive new life with the echoes of the students. The beginning of a new session is always an auspicious time - a time for new hopes and renewed dreams. All of them are filled with great enthusiasm, eager to meet all their friends and might be struggling to capture his or her favourite bench.
It is said “Mould the clay when wet”. Keeping this thought in mind, amidst the thunderous roar of children heading back to school, the management and staff welcomed their saplings on the first day by conducting a welcome programme for them. As they entered the school auditorium the showers of glitters by the teachers brought a smile on the innocent faces. Taking into consideration that welcoming is a part and parcel of Indian culture a grand welcome was given to the primary students by the management and staff of the primary section in the “Loyola Auditorium” on School premises. The principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J. and Vice Principal started the programme.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by fathers and sisters along with the class representatives symbolizing the acceptance of the importance of invoking God’s blessings to tread on a new path. This lighting of the lamp signifies removal of darkness continuous upward movement of the flames denotes the path wisdom and divinity. Lighting of the lamp done by Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., vice Principal Fr. Ajay Kumar Kerketta S.J., Superior and Manager Fr. Christdhari kujur S.J., Bursar Fr. Ashok S.J., Senior Teacher and Staff Member Mr. Mahendra Kothari, Senior Teacher Mrs. Lathika Laxmanan along with students of different class representatives and other dignitaries.
This was followed by a Morning Prayer service which included readings from the Holy Scriptures, spreading the message that God is one. A welcome Melodious Song was sung by the Secondary teachers added a joyous essence to the programme. A prayer was done by Fr. Christdhari Kujur. Motivational thought were presented by senior teacher Mrs. Bina Prakash in front of the students. In the Starting of the programme Floral welcome was given to each student which made them feel unique and important. The students felt enthusiastic and look forward to the new academic session 2018-19 with zeal and hope.
Whole programme on the stage were hosted by Mrs. Aditi Tripathi. The welcome programme was arranged by the Cultural Committee. The teachers helped in removing the doom and gloom of the children and they went back with a cheerful heart looking forward for the brighter sunshine filled school.
Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J and Vice Principal with their speeches directed the students how to sail smoothly throughout the year and work accordingly to achieve their goal. Principal Fr. in his message, told the students “to be positive, become good human being and excellence in their studies. Focus in studies holds prime importance, be attentive in class and concentrate on the lesson taught by the teacher. Be proactive and ask questions related to the lesson which will sharpen your mind. Never hesitate in asking doubts if you don’t understand any topic properly. Make your study plan and think a step ahead. Prepare yourself for the future and have sheer courage to face difficulties and problems coming in your way”.
