“Bangla Folk Dance”, “Bhangda Dance”, “Mono Act”, English Play held on the pre occasion of “Deepawali” Campionites Celebrates the Festival of Lights “Deepawali” With Full Zeal, Enthusiasm and Religious Fervour
 “Deepawali-The Festival of light” that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to everyheart was celebrated with full zeal, enthusiasm and religious fervour in Campion School, Arera Colony Bhopal by the Primary and the secondary section students before goes for the Deepawali Holidays, Deepawali celebration is taken place today according to the schedule before the beginning of the holidays or break. Various cultural programmes, Folk dances, dances, act, plays were organised on this occasion.
The programme began with the Lighting of the Lamp and Diyas done by Chief guest of the occasion Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., along with Vice Principal Fr. Amirtlal Toppo S.J., Superior Fr. Christdhari Kujur S.J., Bursar Fr. Ashok Kujur S.J., Secondary Staff Secretary Mrs. Bhoomika Maheshwari, Senior teacher and Management Committee member Mr. Mahendra Kothari etc., The children welcomed Chief guests and all the Fathers, brothers and sisters with a beautiful greeting song followed by presentation of Saplings and bouquets. After this a meaningful prayer service song ‘Our Scars are our sign of Grace in our live.........’ and Greeting song ‘Sabke liye Happy Diwali....Happy Diwali.....’ highlighted the message of Deepawali. Students invoking God’s blessings and thanking him for his assistance and guidance followed by “Satrangi Rango sa y eh Tyohar” song and a Beautiful Deep dance. One of the main attractions of the day is Folk Dance of Punjab ‘Bhangda’ along with the various Fusion & contemporary dances presented on the bollywood film songs. Beautiful English Play ‘Eco Friendly Diwali’ is presented by the students , Meaningful & Message full Monoact ‘Pathakho se Pradushan’ is presented by the student Dhruv Acharya. Thereafter Bangla Folk Dance was presented by the girls’ students.
Fr. Principal & Headmistress Sister highlighted the Significance of the day & enlightened the staff and student with the message of Deepawali saying “the light within us must help to dispel the darkness and spread love, warmth and kindness as well as in giving and sharing”. Principal Fr.Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J. said "Through this programme students tried to convey in their small way and taught us how this pious festival can be celebrated in other way than by just burning crackers and polluting the environment,” 
Members of Cultural Committee and Coordinator of this committee Mrs. Ratna Panvalker from Secondary section organised different programmes on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali for the students of secondary. Hundreds of students displayed their items in a very innovative way - decorating it with colourful dupattas, pictures of gods and goddesses and making various designs of Rangoli ranging from geometrical to floral patterns. The whole display was overwhelming. The items prepared by the girls students included different types of Rangolis, candles, diyas and pooja thalis which were very colourful and decorated with ribbons, sparkles, beads, shells, stars, mirrors, glitters etc. Candles displayed were of varying shapes and sizes — ranging from small diya shaped to floral, floating, minar shaped, dome shaped and some were even decorated with bows and frills made of wax. Fancy dress, Rangoli competition, Diya making and other such events were organised for the students and their active participation in these events make it more memorable.  Children brought sweets and exchanged them with each other. The respective class teachers organized games, songs and dances which the children thoroughly enjoyed. 
Thanks giving done by teacher Mrs. Manjari Tiwari to all the participants and staff members of the programme. Master of Ceremony done by Teacher Mrs. Jyotishwari Sisodiya along with students. The management of the school including Superior Fr. Christdhari Kujur S.J.,Vice Principal Fr. Amritlal Toppo S.J., Bursar Fr. Ashok Kujur, Primary Headmistress Sr. Lily D’Souza A.C., Sr. Chitra, Sr. Cresentiya were also present on this occasion to appreciated this endeavour of the students and encouraged them to celebrate every festival with the same spirit and enthusiasm and wished them all and their dear ones peace, joy and prosperity of Deepawali. The students did not forget to take blessings from their teachers before going home. Thus, everyone went home carrying the message of love, peace and joy of the festival.
