“PRISM KE RANG CAMPION KE SANG”

“GOLDEN JUBILEE YEAR” CONCLUDING

Campion School celebrated its Golden Jubilee concluding year on 1st December 2015. Campion School, Bhopal was established in 1965. The School Inaugurated its Golden Jubilee celebration on 1st December 2014 in the School under the enthusiastic leadership of school principal, Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., A host of events were organised this year to mark the occasion. The three day celebrations culminated on December 1st 2015 with the cultural evening at 5.30 in the school.

The Concluding Golden Jubilee Celebration Commenced with a Holy Eucharist at 7.00 am in the School with the esteemed presence of Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, Campion Family and others. It began with the beautiful and mesmerizing entrance prayer dance by the students of campion. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by the Archbishop of Bhopal Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Leo Cornelio, SVD. The Holy Mass was followed by homage to Late Rev. Fr. E.F. More S.J., founder Principal of Campion School Bhopal.

On the Concluding Year day of the festivity; The Cultural programme started in the Evening at 5.30 pm. Band Team of the Campionites Escorted Chief guest, Guest of Honour, Special guests and Father Principal. The School Band of 50 students from different classes was trained by Vice Principal Father Ajay kumar Kerketta S.J., The impressive performance of the band enchanted the guests. Welcome dance with beautiful formations by boys; Shower of Flower Petals &  Tilak ceremony were done on the way; All the guests were accorded floral welcome followed by the Ceremonial lighting of the Golden Jubilee lamp done by Chief Guest Major General Vikas Joshi (Commandant of SSB Bangalore), Guest of Honour Mr. Yogesh Choudhary (Inspector General of Police, Bhopal), Special Guests Most Rev. Dr . Pascal Topno S.J., (Emeritus) Archbishop of Bhopal Archdiocese, Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J.and Vice Principal Fr. Ajay kumar Kerketta S.J, Superior Fr. Christdhari Kujur S.J., Head Mistress Sr. Mary Malar A.C. along with other distinguished guests.

On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee, the “Journey of Campion” over the last 50 years was shared with the huge gathering.

Thereafter, the School Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas  Lakra S.J., extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Special Guests, Provincials, Superiors, Principals, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, Ex-Campionites, Management, Staff, Parents, Well wishers and students of Campion School. In his inaugural address Father Principal remembered with reverence the founder principal Father E.F More, S.J., He thanked all the Principals, Headmistresses, staff members from 1965 to 2015 and the parents, with whose active involvement the school has been able to achieve the success. He stressed on inculcation of values _ integrity, confidence building, leadership and all-round development of the students.

After this The Guest of Honour Mr. Yogesh Choudhary (Inspector General of Poilce, Bhopal), “Appreciated the efforts of the school and encouraged to give quality education to the students. The school has always endeavoured to impart not only academic excellence but also human excellence”.

Chief Guest Major General Vikas Joshi (Commandant of SSB, Banglore), in his address applauded the efforts of the students and underlined the need for character formation. He also emphasised to excel in life in today’s competitive world and hoped that the students will sincerely do their studies well to make their parents and School feel proud about their achievements. He wished them all well for their future.

On this auspicious and special occasion Chief Guest Major General Vikas Joshi released the Souvenir of the school and Guest of Honour Mr. Yogesh Choudhary unveiled the Theme.

On this auspicious occasion Most Rev. Dr. Pascal Topno S.J., was honoured through a Memento given by  Superior Fr. Christdhari kujur S.J.

Fr. Kalyanus Minj S.J., Provincial Superior of Madhya Pradesh Province, was also honoured through a Memento given by Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J.,

The Provincials and the Superiors of  different Provinces namely Fr. Vernon D’Cunha S.J., Provincial of Bombay Province, Sr. Georgina H.C., Provincial Superior of Holy Cross Sisters of Mercy, Mid India Province,   Sr. Lily D’Souza A.C. Provincial Superior of Apostolic Carmel Congregation, Patna Province, Sr. Mary Sebastian POSL, representative of the Provincial Superior of Poor Sisters of Our Lady,  Sr. Philo SCC representative of the Provincial Superior of Sisters of the Cross of Chavanod, were also honoured through Mementoes as given by Fr. Kalyanus Minj S.J., Provincial Superior of Madhya Pradesh Province.

The Word of Gratitude, was  given by School Superior Fr. Christdhari Kujur S.J.

The programmes began with the beautiful rendition of song “We Welcome You” sung by 150 students. The song enchanted the audience and invited them to be a part of the gala celebrations of the school.

After this, the most awaited Theme programme “PRISM KE RANG, CAMPION KE SANG” started.

As PRISM reflects and spreads SEVEN colours (RED COLOUR, ORANGE COLOUR, YELLOW COLOUR, GREEN COLOUR, BLUE COLOUR, INDIGO COLOUR, VIOLET COLOUR) like rainbow; all the seven colours indicate some beautiful, heart touching and important messages.

By this Theme the Students of the Campion School reflect and spread the messages of Energy, passion, action, enthusiasm, love of life, passion, determination, social awareness, encourage the feeling of patriotism and nation building, capable, responsible, patriotic Indians, promotion of forestation, march towards prosperity just as the green colour in our national flag teaches us. Trust, responsibility, honesty, loyalty, peace and tranquillity, great devotion, wisdom, justice along with fairness and impartiality, calmness, peace, love, harmony, kindness, truth, inner-peace, emotional depth, devotion, imagination and spirituality and all good causes through different performances; based on the Seven Colour of the PRISM. A medley of dances highlighting the importance of seven colours in our life made the evening lively. The atmosphere became vibrant with the youthful energy of children. The Children, guests and the faculty members rejoiced together on the occasion.

Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Special Guests, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, along with Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J.and Vice Principal Fr. Ajay kumar Kerketta S.J., Ex-Campionites, Management, Staff, Parents, Audience and students of Campion School, Bhopal witnessed “PRISM KE RANG, CAMPION KE SANG” with the huge gathering.

The Kaleidoscope of events organised to mark the Golden Jubilee through the theme “PRISM KE RANG, CAMPION KE SANG” involving WELCOME SONG, PRAYER & CULTURAL DANCE , YOGA, AEROBICS, & CARDIO. More than  200 students performed YOGA, AEROBICS, CARDIO, and showcased their ability in this with accuracy flexibility and good coordination, including MARTIAL ART done in form of CHHAU DANCE OF MAYURBANJ (ORISSA). One of the attractions in this grand evening was live performance by the Campion boys where their classical singing was showcased with incredible clarity. The participants played Tablas, synthesizer, guitar, and violin along with vocalists. It’s an awesome performance. The Hindi SKIT “Shaitani Sinhasan” was also one of the major attractions of the evening.

The whole programme was presented by more than 1000 students from KG-1 to class 12th and entertained the guests.

One of the most attractive programmes in the end was The Grand Finale, consisted of more than 450 students having Seven Colours forming VIBGYOR (Violet,Indigo,Blue,Green,Yellow,Orange,Red), concluding with all the participants on the stage together from Class K.G.-1 to 12th. The programme ended by flying 50 Sky Lantern Lamp (Kandils) in the Sky and Jubilee Anthem. The day ended with the Golden and unforgettable Memories.
