Campion School’s two-day 56th Annual Day celebration begins today on the school premises amidst great zest, vibrancy, and elation. 2023 is celebrated as the International Year of the Millets, the school joyfully decided to adapt that as the theme for the two-day Primary Annual Day celebration. “Healthy Millets, Healthy People” – the theme of the annual day aptly celebrated not only the recognition of the nutritional value of the humble millets grown in India but also the sincere efforts and success of the students in the field of academics. The programme started in the Evening; the Band Group of the School escorted the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, and Father Principal. All the guests were accorded a floral welcome followed by the Ceremonial lighting of the lamp done by the Chief Guest of the occasion Dr. Ganesh Narayanan Senior Scientist and Head, Department of Research and Clinical Genetics, Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital, Bhopal and Guests of Honour Mrs. Roma Bajpai Member, Commercial Tax Appellate Board, Govt. of M.P. along with Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., Superior Fr. Kapil Xaxa S.J., Vice Principal Fr. Alok Kujur, Headmistress Sr. Alzira AC along with Senior teachers and other dignitaries. Over 1000 students from Primary classes III to V actively participated and made the function an enjoyable experience for all. On the first day of this 56th Annual Day celebration, a lot of Cultural programmes, Nukkad Natak, Dances, English Plays, Hindi Skits, Dramas, Songs, Action Songs, etc. were presented by the students. Students are determined to show the various programmes on the Theme of “Healthy Millets, Healthy People”. A melodious spiritual prayer song and Welcome Dance presented by the students followed by Hindi skits and dance drama showed the importance of the Healthy Millets to the audience. The skits gave the important message of Millets in our life, highlighted the Annual Day celebration and gave the audience a hard impact message. Play, Skit, dances, song, and anchoring are the activities that sharpen the students in their God-gifted talents. The programme explicitly brought out the theme through a meaningful skit, colourful dances and a fashion show. The LED screen added a touch of finesse to the entire programme with vibrant pictures that enhanced the performance of the students. The Report of the activities for the academic year, 2023-24 was beautifully presented. Students are addressed by the chief guest and guests of Honour. The Current academic Session’s achievements through Slide show presentations were shared with the huge gathering. In the Awards & Prize Distribution ceremony, the Chief Guest and other dignitaries gave away prizes to the academically meritorious students of the school. As a token of Love Mementos were given to the Chief Guest & Guests of Honour by Fr. Principal and Management members. The most attractive programme, in the end, was The Grand Finale, which consisted of more than 500 Students playing different dances, skits, songs etc. Campion School extravaganza echoed with triumph, etching an unforgettable tale with Millets at centre stage. “Healthy Millets, Healthy People” theme crafted a beautiful symphony of art and culture amalgamated with social consciousness and responsibility. All those present at the annual day carried home the message of inculcating millet in their diet to lead a healthy life.
