Campion School’s Primary 54th Annual Sports Day 2024 was held today in the school playground. Almost 1500 students from KG1 to Std.V participated in this event. Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., formally commenced the programme with Lighting of the lamp along with Chief Guest Mr. Prateek Hajela (IAS) & Ex-Campionite and Guest of Honour Mr. Vikas Agrawal CBSE Regional Officer, Madhya Pradesh. Chief Guest along with the other dignitaries received the salute during the parade and impressive March Past presented by the four houses students i.e., Nehru House, Ashoka House, Tagore House and Gandhi House of the School followed by the oath ceremony. The chief guest declared the sports meet open. The inaugural programme commenced with the Prayer song and welcome Theme dance by the students. The students display a wide array of colourful and reverberant events and programme such as Happy feets, Flat race, Lemon & Spoon race, Shuttle Relay, Bursting the Balloon, Balancing the Ball, Skipping race, Break the barrier, Going to the Party, March Past, Races, and Drills, P.T., Displayed, formation of pyramids etc. KG1 to V std. students spread the message of ‘Let’s Move together’ through their performances. Students also took part in 4X100m relay. Referee of the meet of this Annual Sports day were Mrs. Sonia Yadav, Asst. Referee of the meet Mr. Khan and Mr. Imraan and Chief Judge Mr. Johnsy Koshy HOD Physical Education Department. Principal Father, Vice-Principal Father, Headmistress Sister gave their best wishes and congratulated to all the sports teachers, teachers and all the Medallists students for their Best, excellent and extraordinary performance in this Mega event “54th Annual Sports Day 2024. Chief Guest & Fr. Principal in his speech said “Sports develops all round development of the body, mind and soul”. As a token of love from school; Mementos were given to the Chief Guest and Guest of honour. Vote of thanks was given by Fr. Vice Principal; Lastly Chief Guest declared the sports meet closed. Students cheered for themselves and signed out for the day and it was over with National Anthem.
