Science exhibition is a competitive event in the school at which students illustrate scientific experiments and projects. Science exhibitions in schools at different levels are one of the easiest ways to enhance students’ interest in science and technology and to create interest in science; a Science Exhibition was organized recently in FF & GF Hall, at Campion School Secondary wing. Inspired, encouraged, and motivated by the teachers and the parents, the budding scientists of Campion displayed different models and experiments with great enthusiasm and excitement. The objective was not only to inculcate a scientific attitude and research-mindedness but also to enhance student’s interest in science and technology. The students showcased static and working models, which could be used for teaching and learning scientific concepts, especially for students of grades 6th to 8th. When the presentation is ready, during the exhibition the students learn public speaking and it helps the students remove the fear of speaking in public. They represent their model and explain its uses and functions. All the students, who participated in this exhibition displayed their working projects, non-working projects, Posters, and Banners on Working models such as Rain water harvesting, Drip irrigation, Smart City (using non-conventional sources of energy), Submarine, Drone, Compound microscope, Air pollution (alarm), hydroelectric power, Water purification. Non-working such as Chandrayan 3, Mangalyan, Rover, ATM, Parts of Flower, Smart Roads, etc. The whole programme was conducted successfully under the leadership of Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra SJ and guidance by all the Science department teachers & members of the school. The Programme was concluded with the motivating words of the Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra SJ, He highlighted the importance of the exhibition and said “An exhibition is a platform for the students to work together in groups. This allows the students to develop social and moral skills. Students apart from the scientific knowledge learn to respect each other’s views and thoughts, share experiences, cooperate, managerial skills, skills of leadership, helping and caring about the feelings of fellow members”. The event provided a platform for scientific explorations and innovations for future scientists.
