On 23rd April, we observe World Psychology Day as recognized by the United Nations. The theme for 2026 is “Psychology for Sustainable Development: Bridging Minds, Building Futures.” Campion School, Bhopal marked World Psychology Day with an engaging and insightful assembly. The program highlighted common myths and misconceptions about psychology, helping students develop a clearer understanding of the subject. A thought-provoking skit showcased the impact of ADHD on a student’s academic and personal life, fostering awareness and empathy among the audience. Students also explored the differences between sympathy, empathy, and compassion, encouraging more mindful interactions. Key topics such as Careers in Psychology, Psychological First Aid, and the Role of psychology in everyday life were discussed. The assembly served as a meaningful platform to promote mental awareness and a more informed, compassionate perspective among students. This occasion highlights the importance of understanding human behaviour, fostering mental well-being, and nurturing a more empathetic and supportive society.
